Ever since the article about Eric Bertrand appeared in the Ottawa Sun I have been getting new clients suffering from all sorts of chronic problems.
And these people have tried everything, at least everything traditional medicine has offered them. From leg pains (of course) to unexplained fatigue, to the truly extreme such as throat and tongue swelling.
What Happened To Common Sense?
With all our high-tech machines and tests, no rock has been left unturned, or so it seems. In many of these people’s situations, the exasperated docs have told them to learn to live with it, or, and I love this one, attend a “pain clinic” where you learn to accept your pain.
Now I realize what we do at Awakening Potentials is considered alternative health care, but in actual fact common sense isn’t that alternative. There is a new part of modern health care called Functional Medicine. This is where you take into account a persons genetic susceptibility, environmental exposures, and unhealthy lifestyles.
Of course, anything new, even in medicine quickly comes under attack and so progress takes a long time to evolve and overcome these obstacles. Makes me think of the Bishops in Rome who refused to look through Galileo`s telescope because their religious dogma said that the Earth was the centre of the Universe. Did you know that it took the Catholic Church 400 years to issue an apology to Galileo? It is true.
Let’s hope it doesn’t take that long before energy medicine and functional medicine become common place and the people at “quack watch” are assigned to the dustbins of history.
