The Skeptic In Me

“Frankly, I’m a little skeptical” are words that I hear on a fairly regular basis.  Most often it is a person who has suffered from some chronic problem for years and years.  And they keep getting worse, despite everything that medicine has thrown at it.

• A little girl was brought in who ALWAYS had stomach pains. I determined she was allergic to gluten and to get off of it (wheat, pasta,bread …).  The mother took her off and the stomach pains that she always had stopped.  And what did the father say?  “I don’t believe it.  Frankly I’m a little skeptical.”  Eventually, after sending away for a $150.00 gluten DNA test, he became convinced.

• One poor fellow had his bladder removed and an artificial one made from his large intestine.  And now kidney failure was beginning .  It all started about 5 years previously when he complained of some urinary problems.  The cure caused an infection in his bladder and every attempt to correct the problem made it worse.  Eventually they removed his bladder and in an experimental procedure that lasted 12 hours, made him a new bladder from his intestines.   And now it was failing as well as his kidneys. And he told me he was skeptical of what we do.

• Another person, an older lady came to see me with shortness of breath, pains in all her muscles, and weight issues.  She then showed me a two page list of all the medications she was taking.  And then she said that she was skeptical about what we did in our office.

How is it working for you so far?

To have blind faith in anyone is a mistake.  The problem is that so many seem to have total confidence in modern medicine that they look at anything that is outside that box as suspect.

When 1 in 3 seniors now die with  Dementia/Alzheimers it is apparent that what we are doing right now, with mainstream health care isn’t working all that well.
