How did you score?

If you scored less than 35 for the sum of A+B+C and for the sum of C+D+E, then either you have a healthy stress response, or you don't want to be aware of your symptoms, or you are so worried about having to change something in your life that you are willing to lie to yourself on a test.

If you scored between 36 and 70 for either sum or both sums, then you are starting to show a dysfunctional stress response that should be taken seriously in order to avoid irreversible damage.

If you scored between 71 and 105 for either sum or both sums, then you have a much deeper problem with your stress response and you should probably consult a health practitioner to prevent further damage.

Stress can show up in your body and in your life in many different ways: arthritis, digestive problems, headaches, constant colds/flues, lack of interest in sex, mood changes, recurrent yeast problems, tiredness, nervous energy, being warm or cold, puffiness, weight gain/loss, rashes, poor relationships, or inability to achieve. You could say that stress plays a part in most diseases and failures in life. Your body shows definite symptoms to tell you that you are under stress; it is important to listen to symptoms as soon as they appear because they mean you are already on a steep slope to illness or failure.

Your body responds to stress mainly through a complex set of interactions between the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal glands. These three glands help control your reaction to stress, trauma and injury; they also help regulate your temperature, digestion, immune system, mood, sexuality and energy. Whether these glands are over- or under-reactive affects the way you should help your body.
